## Direct-match strengths

End-to-end AI-native SaaS architecture, multi-tenant platforms, distributed systems, cloud-native design, data architecture, integrations, reliability, security, LLM orchestration, governance, prototypes, architecture reviews, standards, and executive influence.

## Hard or material gaps

The stealth end employer and remote eligibility remain unverified; PASS uses the skill's 80%+ verification exception. Azure is advantageous rather than required, and Keith's cloud depth is AWS-led.

## Evidence map

1. Own end-to-end application, data, integration, cloud, front-end, and AI architecture (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Direct full-stack and platform architecture ownership.
2. Enterprise multi-tenant SaaS from early stage through production (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Built commercial multi-tenant SaaS and production AI platforms from 0-to-1.
3. Distributed systems and data-intensive cloud applications (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Direct AWS, APIs, microservices, event-driven, data-platform, and distributed-system depth.
4. Reliability, scalability, resilience, and security patterns (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Direct 99.9% operations, security, IAM, observability, and release practices.
5. Production LLM integration, orchestration, and governance (weight 3, evidence 3/3) — Direct production agents, RAG, orchestration, evaluation, and governance.
6. Prototypes, design reviews, and pragmatic governance (weight 2, evidence 3/3) — Direct hands-on prototyping, architecture review, standards, and decision frameworks.
7. Azure (weight 1, evidence 1/3) — AWS-led cloud experience; Azure is only advantageous.
8. Verified remote eligibility (weight 2, evidence 0/3) — Not established; preserved as a caveat under the high-fit exception.

## Keyword diagnostic

Near-direct AI-native SaaS, platform architecture, multi-tenant, cloud, distributed-systems, data, integration, reliability, security, LLM, governance, prototype, and architecture-review alignment.

## Full normalized job description

Blair West are supporting a "Stealth-mode” investor-backed technology business as it builds a next-generation AI-native SaaS platform. This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and own the architecture of an AI-native cloud product from concept through to scale. You'll define the technical direction of the platform, shape critical technology decisions and work alongside product, engineering and customer stakeholders to transform ambitious ideas into a commercially successful enterprise platform.
This role combines strategic architectural leadership with hands-on technical influence. You'll be expected to establish the long-term vision while remaining close enough to the detail to guide implementation, challenge assumptions and resolve complex technical problems.
The opportunity:
Own the end-to-end architecture across application, data, integration, cloud, front-end and AI domains.
Define the target platform architecture, technology roadmap and key engineering standards.
Design scalable multi-tenant SaaS capabilities capable of supporting enterprise workloads.
Establish data architecture principles, modelling standards and integration approaches.
Define architectural patterns for reliability, scalability, resilience and security.
Shape the platform's AI capabilities, including LLM integration, orchestration and governance.
Work closely with engineering teams to validate technical decisions through prototypes and iterative delivery.
Collaborate with customer stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable product capabilities.
Introduce pragmatic architecture governance, design reviews and decision frameworks.
Raise technical standards across the broader engineering organisation.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
Significant experience designing enterprise-grade SaaS platforms.
Proven track record owning architecture from early-stage development through production environments.
Strong expertise in distributed systems, data-intensive applications and cloud-native architectures.
Deep understanding of modern software engineering principles and platform design.
Experience with Azure and contemporary cloud technologies would be advantageous.
Exposure to AI, machine learning or LLM-based platforms in production environments.
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where priorities evolve rapidly.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at both technical and executive levels.
Our commitment
Blair West is an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and inclusion at every stage of the recruitment process. We are committed to fairness, equality, and ongoing diversity training for our team to give our candidates and clients a feeling of belonging during their experience with us.
