For our client, we are seeking a Principal Architect - Gen AI to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will shape the enterprise Generative AI vision and translate it into a scalable architecture strategy that supports responsible adoption across the organization. The position will partner with executive leaders, governance forums, and cross-functional technology teams to define standards, decision rights, and patterns for AI delivery. The work will focus on multi-agent systems, retrieval-augmented generation, and integration approaches that connect AI capabilities with both legacy and modern platforms.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $160,000 – $190,000 annually
Responsibilities
Own and develop the enterprise Generative AI architecture vision and roadmap
Lead executive architecture and AI governance forums, establishing decision rights and adoption processes
Define reference architectures and standards for scalable AI adoption across the enterprise
Implement strategies for multi-agent orchestration and lifecycle management of agentic systems
Establish best practices and standards for Retrieval-Augmented Generation and knowledge governance
Define enterprise integration patterns to connect AI solutions with legacy and modern platforms
Lead the AI architecture portfolio to prioritize capabilities for business value and risk management
Qualifications
Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
10+ years of experience in enterprise or large-scale solution architecture, with 7+ years specifically in GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities
Proven expertise in AWS AgentCore and Azure AI Agent Service, including mastery of agentic frameworks
Experience establishing AI governance and operationalizing AI solutions within compliance constraints
Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, PySpark, and vector stores
