 Role Description The Chief Data Officer (CDO) at Little Jump Capital is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and leading the firm’s data strategy across all investment and operational activities. The CDO will oversee the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, ensure robust data management practices, and establish standards for data quality and integrity. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with investment, risk, and operations teams to identify data needs, leading data science initiatives to generate actionable insights, and developing metrics and dashboards that support strategic decisions. The CDO will guide the selection and integration of data tools and platforms, manage data-related risk and compliance, and build a culture that emphasizes ethical, secure, and efficient use of data throughout the organization.
 Qualifications
 Strong experience in Data Governance and Data Management, with the ability to design and implement organization-wide policies and frameworks.
 Proficiency in Data Quality practices, including establishing standards, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data accuracy and consistency.
 Advanced Data Science capabilities, such as statistical modeling, machine learning, and quantitative analysis applied to investment or financial contexts.
 Highly developed Analytical Skills, including the capacity to translate complex data findings into clear, practical recommendations for senior leadership.
 Experience in financial services, private equity, venture capital, or related investment environments is strongly preferred.
 Demonstrated leadership in building and mentoring data teams, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
 Familiarity with modern data architectures, cloud data platforms, and business intelligence tools.
 Relevant advanced degree (e.g., in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field) or equivalent professional experience.
