Responsibilities 

 Lead technology strategy and engineering execution across a large distributed organization.
 Modernize high-volume pharmacy-benefits and transaction-processing platforms.
 Improve software-delivery velocity, quality, reliability, and engineering productivity.
 Establish architecture direction across Java, microservices, cloud, private-cloud, data, and integration environments.
 Translate PBM market and regulatory changes into executable technology roadmaps.
 Drive practical adoption of AI across software development, testing, operations, and client-facing workflows.
 Develop engineering leaders while maintaining sufficient technical depth to challenge architecture and delivery decisions.
 Communicate technology strategy, investment priorities, risks, and progress to senior executives and business stakeholders.

 Role Requirements 

 Senior technology leadership experience within pharmacy benefit management or closely aligned pharmacy-benefits technology.
 Demonstrated leadership of a large or highly complex engineering organization.
 Deep understanding of PBM transaction processing, claims adjudication, and supporting technology.
 Experience translating PBM regulatory or transaction-standard changes into technology initiatives.
 Strong background modernizing legacy enterprise platforms.
 Experience with Java and microservices-based architectures.
 Cloud architecture experience, ideally including AWS.
 Experience managing distributed onshore and offshore engineering teams.
 Demonstrated ability to materially improve engineering velocity and software delivery.
 Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
 Current technical and architectural credibility despite executive-level responsibilities.
 Demonstrated use of modern AI technologies to improve engineering or business outcomes.

 Nice to Have 

 Experience with AI development tools and platforms such as Claude.
 Experience modernizing PBM claims or adjudication platforms.
 FDB, Medi-Span, or comparable pharmacy-data experience.
 Cloud-agnostic platform transformation experience.
 Experience managing multiple agile teams and major technology-transformation budgets.
