## Direct-match strengths

Founder-to-founder operating context, hands-on AI platform delivery, regulated healthcare technology, security/governance, team hiring, architecture, CI/CD, and production ownership are strong.

## Hard or material gaps

Hard central technology gaps: the role requires current production TypeScript, Next.js, Firebase/GCP at real load, daily coding in that stack, and App Store/Play Store submission experience. Those capabilities are not supported in Keith's source materials.

## Weighted evidence map

1. **Current daily production coding** — weight 3, score 2/3: Recent hands-on IDW architecture and coding are direct, but daily current coding is not independently quantified.
2. **Production TypeScript, Next.js, Firebase/GCP** — weight 3, score 0/3: Unsupported required stack.
3. **App Store and Play Store lifecycle** — weight 3, score 0/3: No source-supported mobile-store delivery.
4. **Regulated production technology** — weight 3, score 3/3: Direct FDA-cleared, HIPAA, privacy, security, and AI-governance work.
5. **Improve a 470k-line inherited TypeScript codebase** — weight 2, score 1/3: Strong maintenance and architecture background, but not in the required TypeScript stack.
6. **Hire and lead engineers** — weight 2, score 3/3: Direct hiring and leadership across teams up to 25.
7. **CI/CD, code quality, and production operations** — weight 2, score 3/3: Direct source-supported experience.
8. **Remote and compensation constraints** — weight 2, score 3/3: U.S. remote is considered and $200,000 base qualifies.

## Full normalized job description

READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING. You will write production code every day. If you have not personally shipped code in the last twelve months, this is not your role.
HOW TO APPLY: email careers@miangel.ai with something you built and one paragraph on the hardest production incident you personally owned. Applications without both are not reviewed. No cover letter.
A building job with a CTO's title.
Reports to: Rafael Mas, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Type: Full-time, W-2
Location: Miami, Florida preferred — remote (United States) considered
Compensation: $200,000 base salary, plus 5% equity — four-year vest, one-year cliff
ABOUT MIANGEL
MiAngel, Inc. is a Delaware C-corporation building two products. GMAI is a patent-pending control and trust layer that sits between an application and a large language model, governing what goes in and what comes out. DeBrah is a bilingual English and Spanish AI wellness companion built on top of it. We are healthcare-adjacent: HIPAA-grade safeguards by design, wellness-not-medical-care positioning, and privacy first.
There are over 470,000 lines of production TypeScript across four repositories, the majority written by our CEO. Google OAuth verification is approved across all three health scopes and we passed a CASA AL1 security assessment clean. The architecture works and it is in production. What we need is someone to own building on top of it.
THE ROLE
You will write production code daily, own the implementation architecture, and build the engineering team behind you. This is not a role that stops shipping. If you are looking to move into pure management, this is the wrong job and we would rather say so now.
HOW THIS ROLE IS SCOPED
You report to the CEO, who built the existing codebase, serves as the company's CISO, and owns product direction. We are stating the boundary in the job description rather than discovering it together in month seven.
You own:
• Implementation architecture and technical design
• Delivery, release and production operations
• Code quality, review standards, CI/CD
• Hiring and leading the engineering team — you recommend, the CEO decides
• App Store and Play Store submission and lifecycle
The CEO owns:
• Product direction and roadmap priority
• The security and compliance program (the CEO serves as CISO)
• Final call on anything touching trust posture, regulatory position or the patent
• Investor, enterprise and federal technical representation
• Company technical narrative and external materials
Escalation: disagreements about how something gets built resolve with you. Disagreements about what gets built, or about anything that reaches a regulator, an auditor or an investor, resolve with the CEO. Both parties sign this. If that structure does not work for you, this is the wrong role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write production code, daily, alongside the team.
• Own implementation architecture and delivery on TypeScript, Next.js and Firebase/GCP.
• Take DeBrah through App Store and Play Store submission, review and lifecycle.
• Set code quality standards, review practice and CI/CD.
• Hire and lead the engineering team, beginning with a Founding Engineer.
• Own the production posture of a system where being wrong has consequences for a person who may be in distress.
• Serve as the internal technical owner for SOC 2 Type II evidence.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• You still write code, and can point to something you built this year.
• You have run production TypeScript on Firebase or GCP at real load — operated it, not just chosen it.
• You have built something real under regulated scrutiny: healthcare, financial services, federal, or anything with an auditor, an assessor or an ATO on the other side.
• You can take several hundred thousand lines of someone else's working code and make it better without proposing to rewrite it.
• You have shipped to the App Store, including at least one rejection you had to fix.
• You have hired engineers, and can tell us what happened to them afterward.
• You are comfortable working directly with a technical founder who built the product.
COMPENSATION, AND THE TRADE WE ARE ASKING YOU TO MAKE
$200,000 base salary, plus 5% of the company on a four-year vest with a one-year cliff.
The cash is below what you can get elsewhere. The ownership is not. We are looking for the person who reads that trade and understands it — not the person negotiating base.
PROCESS
• Written screen — five questions, including one on the scope split above.
• Paired session — ninety minutes, a real ticket, in our repository.
• Architecture review — we walk you through GMAI and you push back.
• Product, trust and stage — the honest version of where the company is.
• Conversation with Dr. Keila Hoover, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer.
• References — three, including at least one former direct report.
A mutual non-disclosure agreement is signed before the paired session.
TO APPLY
Send something you built, plus one paragraph on the hardest production incident you personally owned, to careers@miangel.ai. No cover letter.
