## Full normalized job description

Spectrum Search is partnered with an early-stage AI technology company building enterprise process automation solutions. The company is expanding its US presence and is looking for a Transformation Strategist to lead complex operational transformation programmes with large retail and consumer goods organisations.
About the opportunity
This is a senior, commercially focused role sitting between enterprise strategy, operational transformation and AI deployment. You will work directly with executive stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, build credible business cases and turn initial AI deployments into measurable, organisation-wide outcomes.
The role is suited to someone with a background in management consulting, enterprise transformation or deployment strategy who understands the operational realities of retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG) or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
The role
You will own customer transformation programmes from initial business case through implementation and expansion. Working closely with technical deployment teams, you will translate operational challenges into structured transformation roadmaps and ensure technology-led process improvements deliver demonstrable commercial value.
This is a business and strategy role rather than a hands-on engineering position.
Key responsibilities
Own transformation roadmaps for enterprise retail, CPG and FMCG customers
Identify operational improvement opportunities across areas such as category management, supply chain, commercial terms and finance operations
Build outcome-based business cases and return on investment (ROI) models for senior decision-makers
Work with C-level and board-level stakeholders to connect AI and automation capabilities with measurable financial and operational outcomes
Lead steering committees and present transformation progress and evidence to executive stakeholders
Coordinate cross-functional technical teams supporting customer deployments
Drive organisational adoption and change across complex enterprise environments
Support account expansion by demonstrating value and progressing successful pilots into broader deployments
Essential requirements
Strong experience in management consulting, enterprise transformation or deployment strategy
Direct exposure to retail, CPG or FMCG operations, either through consulting engagements or an operator role
Experience leading process transformation initiatives within complex enterprise organisations
Strong understanding of business case development, ROI measurement and outcome-based transformation
Demonstrable credibility managing senior executives, including COO, CFO and board-level stakeholders
Ability to translate technology capabilities into commercial and operational outcomes
Comfortable operating at business and strategy level while partnering effectively with technical teams
Able to work independently within an early-stage environment where processes are still developing
Nice-to-haves
Experience combining consulting with an in-house strategy or transformation role within a large retailer or consumer goods organisation
Experience delivering transformation programmes spanning multiple business units
Exposure to AI, robotic process automation (RPA), workflow automation or enterprise automation platform deployments
Location and remote setup
This is a full-time, remote US position. Candidates must be based in the US Eastern or Central time zones and able to work East Coast hours. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
